EducationCity will be retiring on August 1st 2025
Edmentum is committed to meeting the unique needs of students and educators all over the globe. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to retire the EducationCity platform on August 1, 2025. After this date, users will no longer be able to access any of the platform’s features, resources, or educational materials. We encourage you to make the most of the remaining time to complete any activities or access any information you may need before the shutdown.
We understand that this announcement may be a surprise, and we want to communicate this change to you as promptly as possible, giving you ample time to strategize accordingly. Unfortunately, this decision means that we will no longer be able to facilitate the renewal of your EducationCity subscription.
We recognize the importance of this resource in supporting your educational needs, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience that this may cause you. Our primary goal is to always provide the highest quality programs and services to educators.

Why is Edmentum retiring EducationCity?
For nearly three decades, EducationCity has stood out as a trusted and invaluable resource within our diverse portfolio of educational solutions. We do not make the decision to retire such a beloved program lightly.
Edmentum has high standards for ensuring quality for our products. Unfortunately, the number of customers using EducationCity has declined and we are no longer able to meet these standards going forward for EducationCity. Consequently, we have made the difficult decision to sunset EducationCity.
What is the timeframe for retirement?
EducationCity will no longer be available after August 1, 2025.
Can I renew my subscription for the new school year?
No, you cannot renew your EducationCity subscription for the 2025–26 school year.
Will we continue to have access between now and August 1, 2025?
This will depend on your contract agreement, if your term ends before August 1st you will need to renew for a limited time to extend your access until the 1st August should you wish to. If your original contract agreement extends beyond August 1st, then you will have access to the platform until August 1st.
This means that both teachers and students can fully utilize the program’s resources and tools throughout the academic year and during June and July (should your original contracted agreement cover this period), in alignment with the terms specified in your subscription. However, please note that all access to the program will officially terminate on August 1, 2025. We encourage you to maximize your use of the program before this deadline to benefit fully from its offerings.
My current subscription ends after August 1, 2025. Will I continue to have access? Whom do I contact to discuss my options?
Effective August 1, 2025, users will no longer have access to EducationCity. If your current subscription terms extend beyond this date, please reach out to the Edmentum team at ARUK@educationcity.com to explore available options regarding your subscription as soon as possible. It is important to discuss these matters in advance of August 1, 2025.
Will you be offering an alternative solution to EducationCity?
At present Edmentum does not offer any other solutions which align to the UK curriculum.

Can I purchase EducationCity from any other provider?
No, Edmentum is the sole provider of EducationCity. Since we are the sole provider there is no access past the end-of-life date.
Can customers self-host EducationCity, have ongoing access to the curriculum, or otherwise continue to use the program in any way past August 1, 2025?
No, unfortunately these are not viable options for the EducationCity product.
What will happen to my student and educator data in the EducationCity platform after August 1, 2025? All data will be deleted in line with GDPR and data protection protocols.
Should you wish to save your student progress data, you will need to ensure you export the data prior to July 31, 2025, at the latest.
